Virtual Run For A Better Life 5K Race Description

Run Hope Work is excited to bring you our first-ever 100% Virtual Run For A Better Life 5K. Participants will be able to complete the run/walk anytime between July 27-August 10, and participants can register anytime before August 10. Upon completion of the 5k, participants will submit their name and time via email to rhwvirtual5k@gmail.com, and we will compile results that will be sent out to race participants via email and posted on the website. Additionally, all participants will receive custom-made face masks. 

Run Hope Work (RHW) was founded in 2014 to provide a pathway out of poverty for underserved DC youth ages 18-24. RHW utilizes a holistic approach that combines physical, mental and vocational training to promote overall well-being and empower youth for long-term employment.

RHW develops physical and mental well-being through structured run training and deliberate meditation, and prepares youth to work via life skills and work-readiness classes along with trade certifications. RHW youth receive stipends during the six month program along with professional mentoring and daily programming. Upon graduation, RHW youth earn job placement and ongoing employment support. 

Funds raised through this 5K and other efforts allow Run Hope Work to get more DC youth off the streets and into jobs in the construction trades. Please join us! Let's all Run for a Better Life.
